GalleryPal
A design sprint to create an app that aids art enthusiast-based users with their museum and gallery visits.
Stage I - Mapping
The given research showed that users wanted a product that they can utilize before or during their visit to an artistic institution. Specifically, they're after something that gives them insight into an artist, their body of work, or a particular piece. However, the information given needs to be understandable and bite-sized.

Stage II - Sketching
Coming from a visual art background, I fanatically started sketching in the intuitive manner I developed as an artist. This manner I work in is a brain-dumping process I work in evolves into experimentation, reflection, and refinement. I focused primarily on developing a flow from home base, to an artist, and to an artist's piece. This in turn would decide the design for my prototype.

Stage III - Prototyping
I decided to prototype in Figma over Marvel. I had a specific image in my head of how I wanted the prototype to look that I feel like I could only accomplish with Figma. In addition, it was also a great way to increase my proficiency with the program.

Stage IV - Testing
Testing was conducted with five users. The group was a mixture of artists, art enthusiasts, and those new to the art world. The feedback was all positive with no qualms about the end goal. The prototype accomplished what users sought.
Reflection
As an artist, this was an experience to create and I wish I had more time to expand it. I feel very connected to this design. As for how a design sprint works, I like its impromptu chaos it brings in order to create something orderly.
